Say Hello to Mumford. He is my newest feline companion.
He will hold the door open for my two real kitties as they head to the gentleman's lounge - aka the litter box.

What a nice little fellow Mumford is with those pretty green eyes and those hand stitched facial features.
The patterned called for a cat nose button, but I didn't have one on hand so I drew a triangle where his nose should be and filled it in with some thick black thread.

This is Jasper and Sheen, my two feline boys.
Very seldom are they this cuddly.

It is a stuffed animal pattern, but can easily be converted to a door stop by adding some
heavy "stuffing" in his body section. I'm partial to poly pellets.
Mumford was easy to put together and looks fabulous.
Here he is with the flash, giving us a better view of his shifting "fur" colors.

Mumford is just adorable! Surprised that the other boys in your house are not just a little jealous...although now that they have a personal butler holding the door for them! LOL!!
ReplyDeleteI have 3 "fur-babies" and two look exactly like yours! Our big gray/white tabby with the white tuxedo is Gus-Gus and our little black bundle of energy is Tabitha. The third is a sweet orange tabby, Ben. Up until now I wasn't particularly excited about door stop, but after seeing yours, I'm hooked. I want to make one like that, just finding the right fabric would be the next step. Thanks for sharing.
ReplyDeleteLeah, you chose the perfect fabric to fashion Mumford. Looks like you had two cutie models to help with that part. Well done!
ReplyDeleteTHX for including the links. Lots of cute critters there---and I am on the lookout since I am going to be a great auntie come summer.

ReplyDeleteMumford is wonderful. The fabric is purrfect. You did an impeccable job on the kitty. Your gray kitty is the spitting image on my big gray kitty. He is a big 16 pound boy. His sister is not nearly that large. I have fibromyaliga and it is painful when he gets up and walks on me. Thanks for participating in the hop and being a great inspiration. I really enjoy your project.
