Slide Show Finished!

I finished the binding on my Slide Show quilt yesterday afternoon.
I waited till this morning to get a photo because I wanted to hang it from the back fence where it gets full sun in the morning. Well, what I didn't realize till this morning was that full sun on the fence is only in the winter when there are no leaves on the trees.

So I draped it over the fence, but I couldn't get the full quilt in the sun like I wanted.

So I asked my daughter, who exempted all her exams and no longer has to go to school, what her wing span was.  She is a couple inches taller than me and she made the perfect quilt holder.

I quilted an all over meander pattern on this one.
I will be giving it away and I want it to be used and washed often.
"Use it up, wear it out, so I can make new ones."
That is how I feel about some quilts.  :)

This is my second finish on my Q2 Finish A-Long list.
This is also my May goal for A lovely Year of Finishes.

  1. Still stunning! Love this pattern so much! Your fabrics really are showcased in it!

  2. That's my motto too for quilt gifts! I hope this one is well-loved!

  3. It's beautiful! Thanks for linking up to TGIFF!

  4. Very nice! I have this pattern sitting in my unfinished pile, seeing this makes me want to get it out!!

  5. Gorgeous finish! Congratulations!!!

  6. I really do like your quilt! Congrats on your finish.

  7. oh wow, gorgeous quilt! I love the sashing of small squares, so intricate

  8. I love the pattern & your color choices. My son is my designated quilt rack too. At 6'9" he can hold up even a king-sized quilt for me (and I love seeing his bare feet peek out at the bottom)
