Hi all and welcome to the first day of the Virtual Christmas Cookie Exchange Blog Hop, hosted by Carol of Just Let Me Quilt.
This is a fun hop showing off Christmas projects and cookies and I am excited to help kick it off!
For my project, I whipped up three jewelry pouches.
I used some larger left over Island Batik scraps I had from other projects.
You only need four circles to make one pouch, two big ones and two medium ones.
And I pulled some left over prints that played well with each other.
These pouches are perfect for traveling and are fairly easy to make.
I used a old pattern from a magazine for mine, but a quick you tube search for "Jewelry Pouch" will pull up several tutorials if you want to make a few of your own for quick gift giving.
And if you don't want to give them empty, you can put a few cookies in them.
I found this fun Unicorn sprinkle mix with a cookie recipe on the back and thought it would be fun to try.
They turned out pretty good and they are quite colorful. If you decorate in candy themes for Christmas, these are the perfect cookies to leave out for Santa!
Be sure to check out the other goodies on the hop

ReplyDeleteYep, cookies in those beautiful jewelry pouches would be top on my list. LOL!! Where on earth did you find the unicorn mix? My grand daughter is unicorn crazy right now and that would be so much fun for her to use when baking cookies. Wishing you a wonderful holiday season. I'm on a mission to find that Unicorn mix now. :-)
ReplyDeleteOh my, Leah, those are gorgeous bags! Someone is going to be thrilled to receive one of those. The fabrics make them look so elegant. As for the Unicorn Mix, I just went off on a deep dive search for them because I know my granddaughter would love cookies like the yummy ones you made. Unfortunately, no one seems to have them anymore...bummer. I'll keep an eye out for when they come back in stock. So fun! Thank you for sharing your Christmas beauties with us! xo

ReplyDeleteI would never think to put cookies in a jewelry bag!! Those are beautiful colors and seem very detailed. I would love a gift of one of those some day. The unicorn mix is hilarious! Instead of the usual M&M's it really adds color without the chunkiness. Love it!
