Rascal the Raccoon - A Funky Friends Factory and Island Batik Collab

How fun is this little guy?  He is a Rascal the Raccoon, a pattern by Funky Friends Factory.

This month Island Batik Ambassadors were asked to make a stuffed animal from any of the Funky Friends Factory patterns and I choose Rascal.  He reminds me of all the raccoons I see around here!

I had the perfect pieces for Rascal from the Forest Flora fabric line, an Island Batik Collection by Deb Tucker of Studio 180 Designs.

I used three of the different browns for the body and solid black for his accents.
This fabric line had some cute mushrooms on it, perfect for a foraging critter.

At first I thought I might have gone to light with his face, but with the mask on the contrast is perfect!

His stuffed feet and tail help him stand up all on his own.

Look at those cute mushrooms in his tail.  They lined up perfectly!

He's ready for his adventure at the park.

Looking for a good tree to climb.

He was fun to sew together.  The pattern was easy to follow and had a link to some photos which were helpful when I got to the fiddly parts.

All the pieces sewed together nicely with a Schmetz 90/14 needle.

Stop by the other Ambassadors social pages to check out the critters they sewed this month!

Thanks for stopping by and Happy Sewing!
