I finished the binding on my Slide Show quilt yesterday afternoon.
I waited till this morning to get a photo because I wanted to hang it from the back fence where it gets full sun in the morning. Well, what I didn't realize till this morning was that full sun on the fence is only in the winter when there are no leaves on the trees.
So I asked my daughter, who exempted all her exams and no longer has to go to school, what her wing span was. She is a couple inches taller than me and she made the perfect quilt holder.
I quilted an all over meander pattern on this one.
I will be giving it away and I want it to be used and washed often.
"Use it up, wear it out, so I can make new ones."
That is how I feel about some quilts. :)
This is my second finish on my Q2 Finish A-Long list.
This is also my May goal for A lovely Year of Finishes.

ReplyDeleteVery nice! I have this pattern sitting in my unfinished pile, seeing this makes me want to get it out!!
ReplyDeleteGorgeous finish! Congratulations!!!
ReplyDeleteI really do like your quilt! Congrats on your finish.
ReplyDeleteoh wow, gorgeous quilt! I love the sashing of small squares, so intricate
ReplyDeleteI love the pattern & your color choices. My son is my designated quilt rack too. At 6'9" he can hold up even a king-sized quilt for me (and I love seeing his bare feet peek out at the bottom)
