An Afternoon of Basting

I spent the afternoon basting quilts.
Of course I had some help from Sheen.
At least this time he wanted to play with my basting tool instead of biting at the pins.

I got four tops basted then ran out of pins.  These four are on the top of my "to quilt" list. One is a charity quilt made by Tish and the others are three of the shirt quilts I have been working on. I contemplated going out and buying more pins so I could baste the last shirt quilt, but I figured I could just quilt these and get my pins back.  A good incentive to get busy with the quilting.

  1. I guess Sheen is not a passive quilt helper, but gets his paws in. He's certainly a handsome fellow.

  16. I found an abandoned cat at my backyard a month ago and he looks exactly like your cat. I kept and named him Billy after I tried for over a week to look for his owner. Billy now enjoys spending time with me in my sewing room :-). May I know what breed of cat is Sheen?

  17. Hey Rita, not sure if you come back and read comments, but since your email is listed as no-reply@blogger.com I have no way to contact you other than posting here.

I have no clue what breed Sheen is. My neighbor found him in the engine of his truck a few years ago. He was only a tiny kitten then. I took him in and have loved him ever since.
