Martha's Quilt

This is the quilt I quilted for Martha at the end of April.
It was her entry to the Swamp Fox Quilter's 2012 Challenge.

She used so many different wonderful batiks in this quilt!

And her piecing was superb.  It really made this quilt a breeze to work on.




I LOVE this backing!  How awesome is that!


Martha asked for somthing ferny and woodsy in the quilting. I quilted each diagonal row alternating loopy feathers and what I thought looked like fern leaves. My kids said it reminded them of fire.
I also did the fern leaves in the brown border.  

I really enjoyed working on this quilt.  Great piecing and great colors!
and Martha won 2nd place in the Guild show for "Best Piecing"!
