I'm hopping today with the Flags on a Stick blog hop.
Today's Hoppers are:
Quilted Delights - Me :)
I was definitely thinking spring for my project.
My favorite flowers are tulips and since I have been in a paper piecing mood lately, I went in search of the perfect tulip paper piecing pattern.
I found just the one I needed here and moderated the pattern a bit to create my little spring flag.
It's a little stiffer than most quilts with all the quilting I put in it,
but it still blows in the wind in the front yard.
Again here are the hoppers for today. Make sure you check them out.

ReplyDeleteSuch lovely flowers...cute addition of the rick rack, and your quilting really adds pizazz. Sew very pretty, thanks for sharing!
ReplyDeleteThis is beautiful! Your quilting is such a great touch to help make those flowers pop!
ReplyDeleteI like tulips, too! Your flag is wonderful. The quilting is amazing. I can only imagine the thrill of the neighbors when they see the beautiful tulip flag waving in the breeze! They just have to know spring is truly here, no matter the weather that day. Of course, I had to take a peek at some of your other projects. The children's clothing turned out perfect for the play. Wow! All those clothes by one person. I'm impressed. I'm in love with Pythogras' lute. I was a math major as was my brother. His wife struggled and struggled with math, so I don't know how much she'd appreciate that in her home - no, she supports him in his endeavors - his hobby is woodworking. She actually found a book that I bought for him for Christmas. Thanks for participating and bringing spring to us.

ReplyDeleteWonderful idea for a spring flag. Great quilting and love the rick rack framing.
ReplyDeleteI'm so fond of tulips and love your red ones. The fabric you used in the pots is perfect. I think a stiffer flag will show off better than one that is too loose and gets wrapped around the pole.
